If you have put your property up for sale, you will need an

Energy Performance Certificate or EPC which has to be made available to all prospective viewers. This certificate details the energy efficiency of your property which is now a legal requirement prior to advertising your house for sale.

The process involves us as qualified and accredited Domestic Energy Assessors based in Belfast, Northern Ireland, to inspect your property, assess the heating and insulation elements affecting the energy performance of your property, and then, calculate and input the data obtained into a computer programme to produce the required certificate.

The Energy Performance Certificate gives a prospective buyer, tenant or homeowner the information about the energy efficiency of the property with grading from A to G. The EPC comes with recommendations for improving the energy efficiency of the property and also shows the projected rating if these recommendations are implemented. Figures are also given for the estimated energy cost of the property which can be useful when comparing the running costs of a number of properties.
